About Gökçeada:

Dereköy, Kale Köy, Tepeköy, Zeytinli, Eski Bademli are the Greek villages of the island. The architectural texture of these villages, which are urban protected areas, is under protection. It is built on an olive slope 3 kilometers away from the district center. Coffee houses serving the island's famous dibek coffee are located here. The oldest church of the island, Agios Georgios church is also here. 4 kilometers away in Eskibademli, the Meryemana Church, the laundry and the old school building are interesting. Kaleköy, which is also 4 kilometers away from the district center, is one of the most lively places in the district in summer. It takes its name from the Byzantine castle ruins. In the village, there are Agios Nikolaos Church and Agia Marina Church, known as small churches. Tepeköy, 10 kilometers away, is the highest village of the island. It has two churches known as Panagia and Agia Maria. Dereköy, 16 kilometers away, is the largest Greek village but most of the houses are empty. Its historic laundry, where the women of the village once washed their clothes together, is interesting.
